Mr. John Robert Leyanna, age 62 of Georgetown, DE and formerly of California passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. John was born on October 26, 1956 in Georgetown, DE to the late Leo W. and Evelyn D. Fortney Leyanna. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by several siblings.

He lived here until the age of 30 and then moved to California. He moved back to Delaware in 2015 due to health reasons and to be near his family. He worked in the landscaping business.

John enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling, Sci Fi, and horror movies. He enjoyed being back in Delaware near his family. John is survived by four siblings, Leo L. Leyanna of Felton, DE; Lucille Ortiz of Georgetown, DE; James E. Leyanna of Ridge Crest, CA; and Linda L. Thompson of Georgetown.

He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in John’s memory to the Brandywine Valley SPCA, 22918 DuPont Blvd, Georgetown, DE 19947.
