Obituary for John S. Cole John “Redman” Stanford Cole, 73, of Grifton, passed away on Wednesday November 28th, 2018 at Vidant Medical Center. John was born on December 15, 1944 in Lenoir Co., NC to the late William S. and Sally Jones Cole. He retired from E.I. DuPont after 30 plus years of dedicated service.

John attended Elm Grove FWB Church and was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting and fishing. He cherished his time with family and friends and will be truly missed by all who knew him. John was a loving father to his two children, Stacy B. Cole and Christian Blair Cole.

He also leaves behind one sister, Patsy Capps and a host of special nieces and nephews. He will be remembered as a devoted family man and caring friend. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the staff of the CICU for their compassionate care of their father.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 3:00pm at Farmer Funeral Service, with a visitation to follow. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of John S. Cole please visit our Sympathy Store.
