John M. Sterner, 49, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Friday, June 29, 2018 at his home. Born June 2, 1969, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of Dixie (Eicholtz) Sterner of Hanover, PA, and the late Robert H. Sterner, Sr. John was a 1987 graduate of York Vo-Tech. Mr. Sterner worked in construction and was employed by Dwight Spielman Construction.

In addition to his mother, John is survived by his brothers, Steven H. Sterner and wife Lucinda of Hanover, PA, David R. Sterner and wife Robin of Abbottstown, PA, Thomas W. Sterner and wife Gloria of Thomasville, PA, Timothy A. Sterner and wife Lori of Brunswick, ME, and Robert H. Sterner, Jr. and companion Jess of Hanover, PA as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father Robert, John was preceded in death by one sister, Cynthia A. Sterner. A memorial service to celebrate and remember John will be held 11:00AM, Thursday, July 5th, 2018, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Rev.

Larry M. Estepp officiating. Burial will be in St. Bartholomew’s Church Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10:00-11:00AM, Thursday, July 5th, 2018 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Dubs Church, 1958 Dubs Church Road, Hanover, PA 17331.
