Obituary for John T. Leister Leister, John T., “Honest John”, 73, passed away Friday, May 11, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents John T. Sr. & Kathleen Leister; a brother Charlie Leister and a grandson Chance Leister. He was a employee of L. G.& E. and also worked at Shawnee Golf Course for 10 years.

John loved playing cards, going to the track, the boat and spending time with his family & friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Patricia A. Leister; his daughter: Tammy Henley (Tim); three sons: Tommy (Lisa), Timmy and Travis Leister; four sisters: Peggy Collard (Bob), Ruthie Parker, Beverly Baker (John) and Wilma Horn; one brother: George Leister (Norma); 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; and his best friend, Pinochle. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at J. B. Ratterman & Son, 2114 W. Market St. with burial at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Visiting will be held Monday, May 14, 2018 from 2pm until 8pm and Tuesday from 9am until 1pm. To my dear husband & partner in life. I am going to miss you so very much.
