There was a joyous reunion in Heaven on January 7, 2019 at 3:20pm when Jack joined his beloved wife Kathleen and his son Kevin at the age of 84. Jack was originally from Binghamton, NY but spent his last year with his wife at the NYS Veterans Home in Oxford. The family is eternally grateful for the love and care shown to Jack and Kathleen for the last year of their lives by the staff of the Veterans Home.

They were able to spend a wonderful last year of their life together. He is survived by his daughters Deborah (Charles) Semenza, Patricia (Gary) Henderson; daughter-in-law Teresa McAuliffe; grandchildren Daniel (Isabel) Semenza, Timothy (Nikki) Semenza, Nicholas Semenza, William (Jordan) Henderson, Michael Henderson, Katharine Henderson, Nathaniel (Gwen) McAuliffe and Jacqueline McAuliffe; sister Elizabeth Kisner, sister-in-law Josephine McAuliffe; as well many nieces and nephews. Jack was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, Marine Corps League, Broome County Veterans Memorial Honors Assoc.

and American Legion Post 80. He loved his wife, his family,and he was always an advocate for the underdog. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 3:30pm with Military Honors at the NYS Veterans Home at Oxford, 4207 State Route 220, Oxford, NY 13830; Fr. Mark Giroux will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 458, Chenango Bridge, NY 13745.
