John Gossett, age 84 formerly of Chatsworth, passed away Friday, January 25th, 2019. Mr. Gossett was a long time member of Spring Place Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. He also served as his church’s minister of music for a number of years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Ira Mae Hill Gossett and his sister, Virginia Gossett Kiker. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Gladys Gossett; sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy Alan and Tina Michelle Gossett and Jeffrey David and Stephanie Diane Gossett; grandchildren, Sarah Kate and Caroline Victoria Gossett; nephews, David and Wayne Kiker. Funeral services to celebrate the life of John Gossett will be 2:00 pm Monday, January 28th, 2019 from the Chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Chatsworth with Rev.

Chuck Smith officiating. Burial will be in Casey Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm Monday, January 28th, 2019.
