John Miele, 94, passed away Wednesday morning April 25, 2018, in Warrenton, Virginia. He was born March 2, 1924, in Brooklyn, NY. He is survived by his wife, Linda Spencer, son, Michael, daughters Alice and Sandy Rae, and grandsons, John and Michael.

John, a former resident of Hopewell Junction, New York, was a proud Navy veteran who served honorably in World War II as a radioman on PT Boat 462 in RON 31, and in the Korean War. He spent many years as a psychology professor at Manhattan College in Riverdale, NY, part of that time as Chairman of the Psychology Department. John was active in following national and foreign affairs from an issue and values standpoint and enjoyed cooking and reading about American history, Friends may call on Monday, April 30 from 9-10 AM at Moser Funeral Home where services will be held at 10 AM.

interment with honors provided by the VFW Post 2524 to follow at Culpeper National Cemetery. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to PT Boats. Inc. P.O. Box 38070, Germantown, TN, 38183, phone (901)-755-8440 in memory of John Miele.
