John G. Anderson, 65, of Massillon, passed away at his home on December 21, 2018. He was born on June 8, 1953 to the late John T. and Mary (Charidakis) Anderson. John worked as a self-employed contractor for most of his life.

In his spare time he enjoyed hiking, cooking out, playing his guitar, and going to the beach. John’s greatest passion in life was his friends and family. He loved spending time with his friends, around a table, telling stories and sharing the best of life.

John was known for always making them laugh with the pranks he would pull. He will be remembered for his greatest attribute which was his generosity. There was no end to him accepting others and offering money, even when he had so little.

John was always trusting and offered others a place of comfort in their time of need. John is survived by his son Taylor; his longtime friend and loving companion, Colleen Durbin; sisters Joanna (Bob) Haag and Cathy (Roy) Sweatman; best friend Jean DeGroff; Uncle George Charidakis and many other friends. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his son John Paul Anderson.
