Johnnie F. Calvert, 78, of West Branch, Michigan passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region. He was born in Athens, Alabama to the late Jesse & Cecil (Lane) Calvert. He married the former Charlotte Hopkins in Sault Ste.

Marie, Michigan on January 13, 1962 she survives him. Johnnie proudly served in the United States Air Force for 26 years before retiring, and was a member of the local American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, old cars, and spending… Read More » time with family.

Surviving besides his wife of 56 years are 2 daughters; Kelly (Henry) Herman, and Jessica (Alex) Garza. Grandchildren; Henry (Lisa) Herman, Nicole Herman, Christopher (Jennifer) Herman, Colton (Sarah) Wheeler, 3 great-grandchildren and one on the way, 2 sisters Cathy (David) Greene, and Pamela (Johnny) Reyer. Johnnie was pre-deceased by his son Johnnie Jr, and a brother Danny Calvert.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 11 am from Prince of Peace Parish-St. Anne , with Rev. Fr. Nick Coffaro and Deacon Michael Arnold presiding with Inurnment at St. Anne Cemetery with Full Military Honors.

Friends may call at the Church from 10 am until the time of service.
