Johnny Davis December 22, 1954 – May 19, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card Johnny Frank Davis was born December 22, 1954 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Betty Jean (Macklin) and Frank Norris Davis. He passed away May 19, 2019 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 64 years, 4 months and 27 days. Johnny grew up in the Sweetwater and Bulo communities.

He attended school in Bulo until they closed and continued his education at Sweetwater where he graduated in 1973. After graduation he was married to Vicki Renea Anderson on August 1, 1975 at Carter, Oklahoma. After their marriage they remained in the Sweetwater community where they owned and operated the Bulo Country Corner convenience store for a couple years.

They sold the Country Corner store and Johnny began his career in carpentry where he specialized in construction from scratch and also was skilled in the remodeling of existing houses. During this time he also attended Sayre Junior College where he received his associates degree in business. During the summer months Johnny loved going out on wheat harvest with his dad and brothers and spent many hours in the wheat field.

He was a self taught guitarist and enjoyed playing in his spare time for his family. He also enjoyed attending car races, caring for his cattle, solving crossword puzzles and more recently playing Yahtzee with Bob Carey. Johnny was family oriented and made it a point to be present at all of his grandchildren’s events and was never seen without a Dr. Pepper in his hand.

He is preceded in death by father. He is survived by wife, Vicki, of the home; 3 children, Andy Davis, Oklahoma City, OK, Brian Davis and wife, Kourtney, Durant, OK and Bailey Crosby and husband, Jerrad, Erick, OK; 10 grandchildren, Baylor, Averie, Brodie, Addison, Mylie, Briar, Bowen, Amber, Trinity and Sabre; his mother, Betty Davis, Elk City, OK; 2 brothers, Jeff Davis and wife, Lisa, Corn, OK and Jimmy Davis and wife, Jamie, Walters; 1 sister, Jean Hutson and husband, Harold, Elk City, OK and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Sweetwater First Baptist Church.

Burial will be in the Buffalo Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
