It is with great sadness that we announce, Johnny Lee Gregg, of Cleveland beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, went to Heaven on May 18, 2019 at the age of 78, following a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was preceded in death by his parents James Lee and Stella Mae Ledford Gregg, infant daughter Kimberly Denise Gregg, two brothers Franklin and Joseph Gregg and his grandson William Lewis. Johnny was a kind, gentle man who loved the Lord and was instrumental in bringing many friends and family members to the Lord.

He cared deeply for the Lord, his family and friends. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit, which were always a beautiful part of his existence. Johnny’s marriage to Janice Slaughter produced four daughters and ten grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart.

He was of the Pentecostal Faith and attended Westmore Church of God He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 61 years, Janice Slaughter Gregg, daughters Sandy Cunningham and her husband Tony of McDonald Tn. , Susan Steffens and her husband Charles of Fort Smith Arkansas, Jeanette Frazier and her husband Tim of Old Fort TN. , his adored grandchildren Matthew Jenkins, Megan Carroll and her husband Josh, Heather Burnette and her husband Nathan, Jennifer Mowery and her husband Charlie, Josh Cunningham, Catherine Frazier, Keith Gregg and his wife Brianna, and Seth Gregg, his great grandchildren Max and Mea Carroll, Aubrey Burnette and Braxton Brooks, his brother Charles Gregg and his wife Phyllis, his sister Jeannie Cissom, his brother in Christ Charles Hollifield and numerous other loving family and friends.

A Remembrance of Life Service will be held Wednesday at 11 o’clock at Westmore Church of God with Rev. Charles Hollifield, Rev. Henry Smith and Pastor Jeannie Cissom officiating.

The committal service will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with his loving grandsons Matthew Jenkins, Josh Carroll, Nathan Burnette, Charlie Mowery, Josh Cunningham, Keith Gregg and Seth Gregg serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 until 8pm and Wednesday morning from 10 until 11am at Westmore. Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel has charge of arrangements.
