Zane’s Obituary Zane Lee Albritton, age 82 of Calhoun, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at UT Medical Center. He is a native and life-long resident of McMinn County, born to Elmo and Lena Albritton. Zane was of the Methodist faith; a 64 ½ year member of Carpenter Local #74; a member of the Calhoun Masonic Lodge and a Shriner.

He loved antique tractors and restored and showed them and he had been an active member of the Hiwassee Tractor Club. He is preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Greg Albritton. Survivors include one son, Jeffrey Albritton of Etowah; one daughter-n-law Lindy Albritton of Cleveland; two grandchildren and spouses, Joshua B. (Jessica) Albritton and Rachel (Shawn) Cupp; two sisters, Ruby (James) Pangle of Cleveland, and Katherine Miller of Marietta, GA; the mother of his children, Sammie Jean Albritton of Delano; and a special lifelong friend and caregiver, Peggy Stone McKenzie.

Several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends also survive. Celebration of Life and Home going for Zane will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Serenity of Etowah Funeral Home with Pastor Titus Snyder officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.

The visitation will be Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 1 – 3 p.m. prior to the service in the funeral home Cha In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Shriner’s Hospital, 9721 Sherrill Blvd. , Knoxville, TN 37932 or Alzheimer’s Association, Southeast Tennessee Chapter, 735 Broad Street, Suite 300, Chattanooga, TN 37402 in Zane’s memory.
