William H. “Bill”‘s Obituary William H. “Bill” Bryant 3/11/1926 – 5/12/2019 Bill Bryant, a resident of Cleveland for more than 50 years, passed away on Sunday, May 12. He was a member of North Cleveland Baptist Church. Prior to that he attended Bellefounte Baptist Church.

He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Burlington Industries, M and M Mars Security, and Coppinger Color Lab. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mamie Holiday Bryant, two brothers, James and Ralph Bryant, and sister Alice Bryant Young. , as well as his wife of 51 years, Genelle “Nell” Reeves Bryant, a son, Bill Bryant, Jr., grandson Jonathan Bryant, and two infant grandchildren.

He is survived by two daughters, Peggy Bryant Flowers (Gene), Jayne Bryant Wilson (Steve); two sons, John F. Bryant (Bobbie) and C. Joel Bryant (Colleen); grandchildren, Gina Flowers Lindsay (Kip), Renaugia Flowers Allmon (Jimmy), Seth Flowers, Tori Wilson Martin, Casey Wilson (Erin), Joey Bryant (Jenny), Priscilla Bryant Stampe (David), and Bobby Bryant; great-grandchildren, Silas Allmon, Cole and Zoie Flowers, Kaylee Martin, Autumn, Anna, Addison and Millie Stampe, Morgan Bryant, Jacob and Emma Wilson, Peyton, Aiden and Bella Bryant. He would have gotten to meet his first great-great-grandson and great-great-granddaughter in September, which he was excited about. He will be sadly missed as well by his special friend and breakfast buddy, Clyde Underwood.

Mr. Bryant never met a stranger, and was always the life of the party. In his younger years he enjoyed playing golf with his sons and grandsons and bowling. He loved watching the Atlanta Braves games on TV.

He also very much enjoyed watching old westerns. A week and a half before his stroke he was riding the lawn mower, and he still drove himself to church. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home of Cleveland.

Doctor Jay McCluskey, Pastor of North Cleveland Baptist Church and Pete Mullins, Pastor of Genesis Baptist Church in Athens, Tennesse will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with grandsons, Seth Flowers, Casey Wilson, Joey Bryant, David Stampe, Jimmy Allmon and Bobby Bryant serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so can make a donation to Shriner’s Hospital for Children or to North Cleveland Baptist Church.
