Johnny Russell Harless, age 72, of Anderson, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. He was born on June 28, 1946, in Anderson to Theodore and Dorothy (Riley) Harless. On March 12, 1965 he married the love of his life Pam (Anyes) Harless.

Johnny retired in 2005, from General Motors, Delphi Plant 20 after 40 years of service. He was a member of the UAW #662, Madison County 4-H Club, White River Little League, CRA, Anderson Equestrian Club and the Alexandria Eagles. Johnny enjoyed the outdoors and horses.

He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Johnny is survived by his loving wife, of 54 years, Pam Harless, daughter, Kelly Harless, two sons, Scott (Wendy) Harless and Ryon (Lisa) Harless all from Anderson, 8 grandchildren Brady, Kodi, Brittni, Rachael, Hannah, Blake, Holden and Anna, several great grandchildren, brother, Jerry Harless of Anderson, two sisters, Judy Redlinger of Alexandria and Jo Ann Pardue of Moonsville, several nieces & nephews. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Dorothy Harless.

Funeral service celebrating Johnny’s life will be at 11:00 am Monday, May 20, 2019 at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home in Frankton, with Pastors Mike Whiteman & Bill McCorkle officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, May 19, 2019, from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm, at Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home in Frankton.
