Obituary for Jon Barry Carter Jon Barry Carter, 56, passed away November 1, 2018. A native of Greenville County, a son of Nancy Campbell Arrington of the home and the late George Austin Carter, Jr., he was a commercial painter, member of Cross Plains Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran. Surviving are one son, Jon Barry Carter, Jr. and two grandchildren, Raven and Roman of Seneca; one brother, George Timothy Carter (Brenda) of Williamston; one sister, Sonya Carter (Jeff Cordell) of Pendleton; and his wife, Trudy Nabors Carter of Pendleton.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev. John Dill. Burial will follow in Cross Plains Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary prior to the service. The family is at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pickens County Humane Society, 500 five Forks Road, Liberty, SC 29657 or Animal Rescue of your choice.
