Jonathan Scott Sims, 49, died Wednesday April 11, 2018 in Myrtle Beach, SC. Scott was born April 25, 1968 in Wilson, NC. He attended USC-Coastal Carolina College and the NY Culinary Institute.

He worked at Sea Captain’s House in Myrtle Beach. He loved God, family, and friends and lived a life filled with laughter and music. He is survived by his mother, Juanita Boyette Sims, Myrtle Beach; two sisters, Cindy Bucy and husband, Jamie, Myrtle Beach and Molly Sims Birdsall, Myrtle Beach; and two nephews, Mac Bucy and Rain Birdsall.

He is preceded in death by father William Parrish Sims and grandparents James Marvin and Arbelia Boyette, and William Parrish Sr and Virginia Sims. A Beach Memorial service at 30th Ave N will be held at 10 am, Saturday, June 2. Contributions in memory of Scott may be made to the Youth Program at First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 70127, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572.
