Obituary for Joseph Allen Wilson Gaffney, South Carolina — Mr. Joseph Allen Wilson, 56, formerly of 523 W. Montgomery St., passed away on November 19, 2018 at Mary Black Health System-Gaffney. Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late George and Geraldine Wilson. Joseph previously worked as a mechanic and loved spending time with his cousins and friends at Wilson Compound.

Surviving Mr. Wilson are one son, Allen Michael Wilson, of Gaffney; one daughter, Summer Byars (Christopher), of Gaffney; three sisters, Ginny Wallace, of Gaffney, Jackie Williams (Allen), of Gaffney, Sheri Shipp (Randy), of Wilson, NC; three grandchildren, Madison Nicole Wilson, Autumn Jade Byars, and Winter Monroe Byars; and special family, Horace Wilson-uncle, Joe Wilson-uncle, and Bertha Phillips-aunt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Phillips. A graveside service will he held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at 3:00 PM at Frederick Memorial Gardens, with a visitation to follow at the graveside.

The family will be at the home of Ginny Wallace, 138 Twin Ridge Road, Gaffney. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals On Wheels, PO Box 1886, Gaffney, SC 29342. The Book of Memories is available at www.
