Obituary for Mr. Joseph Lee Robert Sr Mr. Joseph Lee Robert, Sr. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA, for Mr. Joseph Lee Robert, Sr., 74, who entered eternal rest, Monday, July 2, 2018 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte, LA. Interment will be in Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary, LA, on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 12:30 PM.

Rev. Eric Dupre will officiate the service. Mr. Robert is survived by his wife, Ruby L. Valary-Robert of Opelousas, LA; eight sons, Joseph L. Robert, Jr., Carlos Robert (Darcy), Deverick Robert, Lorenzo Robert (Andreka), Cardell Robert, Scotty Robert (Shirley), Columbus Reed (Kelly) and Antonio Hill; six step-sons, Christopher Johnson, Alonzo Bell, Donald Cunningham, Jr., Brandon Keys, Brian Keys (Kayla) and Matthew Keys; two daughters, Arvadale Robert and LaKeisha Robert; a step-daughter, Dr. Rashonda Dean (Cornell); a daughter he reared, Gabriella Harris; a brother, John Batiste; four sisters, Lucille Davis, Beverly Rubin, Eltra Sanford and Mary A. Batiste; 25 grandchildren, 18 step-grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace Robert & Emma Richard Batiste; step-father, Buster Batiste; five brothers, Lucius Robert, James Robert, Rudolph Batiste, Abner Batiste and Vivian Batiste; four sisters, Ramona Robert, Gloria Janice, Elfa Brown and Octavia Jones; three brothers-in-law, Mark Kimble, James Janice and Johnny Sanford. Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Williams Funeral Home. Share words of comfort with the Robert family at www.
