Joseph Luke Chaisson Jr., 79, a native of Montegut, Louisiana and resident of Thibodaux, Louisiana passed away on February 12, 2019. A memorial visitation is pending. He is survived by his former spouse, Terri Savoie; sons, Chad Chaisson (Mendy Hill Chaisson), Brad Chaisson (Michelle Holloway Chaisson); sisters, Verla Chaisson Hotard (Irvin Hotard), Dorothy “Dot” Chaisson, Brenda Chaisson Robichaux; grandchildren, Devin, Dylan, and Gabrielle Chaisson; sister-in-law, Joy Sanders Chaisson and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luke Joseph and Adele Marie Guidry Chaisson; brothers, Archie Chaisson (Gladys Breaux) , Dudley Chaisson (Evelia LeBlanc), Ruble Chaisson (Melva Trahan), and Merton “Pete” Chaisson; sister, Esther Chaisson Ellender (Davis Ellender); and brother-in-law, Walter Robichaux. He was a retired mechanic with Freeport McMoRan who loved old cars, demonstrated by his membership with the Weekend Cruisers Car Club. He served in the US Army as an aircraft mechanic in Germany from 1959-1962.
