Graveside services for Joseph Mathew Welch Jr., eighty-two, civil engineer in construction, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 20 ,2018, at Erath Gardens Of Memory Chapel with Masonic rights. Burial will follow at Erath Gardens Of Memory Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home.

Joseph was born in Ralls, Texas on April 28, 1935 to Joseph Mathew Welch Sr. and wife, Clara Ann (Bartlet). He married Dorothy Ellen Johnston on August 5,1955, in Midland, Texas. Joseph was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints, and also a member of Helotes Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Ellen Welch of San Antonio, Texas; three children, Michael Welch of Cedar Creek, Texas, Gregory Welch of San Antonio, Texas, and Kelly Haller and husband, Timothy of Tijeras, New Mexico; and two grandchildren, Steven Welch of Cedar Creek, Texas, and Brandon Welch of San Antonio, Texas.
