Graveside services for Robert Coles Wortley, ninety-four, Owner of Brownwood Hearing Aid Center, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018, at West End Cemetery with Rev. Mike Hannah officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Lacy Funeral Home.

Arrangements are by Lacy Funeral Home. Robert was born in Astoria, New York on August 5, 1923 to William Johnstone Wortley and wife, Sarah May (Williams). He married Winifred Joyce Wortley on May 4, 1946, in Stourbridge, England.

She preceded him in death on December 2, 2017. Robert was a member of the Methodist Church, Lions Club in Brownwood, Texas and an Army Veteran of WW II. Survivors include his daughter, Avril Todd and husband, Bobby J. of Granbury, Texas; a daughter in law, Tricia Wortley of Stephenville, Texas; three grandchildren, Devon Detillion of McKinney, Texas, Justin Wortley of Hurst, Texas, and Taylor Wortley of Fort Worth, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his son Robert A. “Robby” Wortley on October 24, 2017. Memorials can be made to the Texas Lions Camp, PO Box 290247, Kerrville, Texas 78029; please make sure to put Robert Wortley’s name on the donation so the foundation knows who to honor.
