BOX 106 STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS 76401 254 965 3161 254 965 2699 FAX Addie Zell Edwards October 27, 1921 – July 30, 2018 Addie Zell Edwards, 96, of Stephenville, died Monday, July 30, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Graham Street Church of Christ with Martin Smith officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM Wednesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Addie Zell Edwards was born on October 27, 1921 in Erath County to Jessie Lee and Frances (Fanny) Rebecca Deason Bills. She graduated from Stephenville High School in 1937, and attended John Tarleton Agricultural College and Howard Payne College.

Addie Zell married Dewey Eugene Edwards on January 30, 1944 in Stephenville. They lived in Bryan and College Station, and after WWII lived in Lohn, Texas from 1948—1950 before moving to Walnut Springs, Texas, where Addie Zell was the Walnut Springs ISD school secretary and bookkeeper for 15 years before her retirement in 1979. She and Eugene retired to the family farm in Stephenville in 1979 where Addie Zell enjoyed many years of being a housewife.

She was a member of the Graham Street Church of Christ. She leaves behind four children, Cynthia Price of Hillsboro, Texas (a retired teacher); Donnie A. (Bim), (a retired Superintendent) and wife Donna Edwards (retired County Extension Agent) of Walnut Springs; Ricky Dale Edwards and wife Barbara Estment (both M. D.s) of Cresson,; and Dean and Cindy Edwards (both retired Superintendents) of Stephenville, Texas. In addition, she leaves behind 13 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Addie Zell was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Eugene Edwards (a retired superintendent) on February 25, 2009; and by 2 sisters; and two brothers.
