Services for Sara Gene Neagle, Forty-five, will be held at 3 PM, Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Jay Hollifield, her Loving Brother, officiating. Sara was born in Temple, Texas on November 28, 1972 to Jerry Hollifield and wife Kathy (Walker). She married Chuck Neagle on January 23, 1993, and was happily married for 25 years.

She went on to have two sons, Devin Lee Neagle, and Jeremy Edward Neagle. Her family would continue to grow with Devin’s marriage to Dani Nicole Knight, who went on to give Sara her first grandbaby Ryan August Neagle. Sara also loved arts and crafts with the nieces and nephews, decorating christmas cookies in particular was always a favorite, both to her and the kids.

She also found a lot of joy in family gatherings, especially thanksgiving. The holiday fell close enough to her birthday that she always had a german chocolate cake waiting for her. After the birth of her grandbaby Ryan, Chuck and Sara moved out of town to a more quiet life in the country, where she began her favorite hobby, raising her chickens.

And turkeys. And quail. She had more than one “crazy chicken lady” T-shirt in the closet.

She got more joy than I can tell you out of those animals, and loved every one of them, even the ones she didn’t like(Reba). Sara was just that way, she had more love to give than most anybody. Sara is survived by her husband Chuck Neagle of Stephenville, Texas, children, Devin Lee Neagle and wife, Dani, of Stephenville, Jeremy Edward Neagle, of Stephenville; parents, Jerry Hollifield and wife Betty, of Stephenville, and Charlie Smith of Chandler Texas; in laws, Charlie Neagle and wife Fran, of Stephenville; grandchild, Ryan August Neagle; siblings, Jay Hollifield, and wife Katy, of Chandler Texas, Clayton Hollifield, and wife Mandy of Mineral Wells, Texas, Terry Dobson, and wife Tonya of Stephenville Texas, Sheila Taylor and husband, Terry of Stephenville, Texas; best friend Melissa Rudel Weber; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Kathy Walker Smith, 2014; grandfather Benny Walker; and grandmother, Barbara Walker.
