Princeville – Joseph R. “Joey” White, 13, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at his home. He was born on June 23, 2005 in Peoria, the son of Craig and Cherie (Galat) White, of Princeville. Joey is survived by his parents; two brothers, Ben and Jacob White of Princeville; grandmother, Gloria White of Dunlap; grandparents, David (Marlene) Galat, Sr. of Tolland, Connecticut; three aunts, Tracy (Matthew) Kieser of Bradford, Cyndi (Brian) Luginbuhl of Stafford Springs, Connecticut… Read More » and Rachel White of La Fayette, Indiana; three uncles, David (Ellen) Galat, Jr. of Ellington, Connecticut, Greg Galat of Vernon, Connecticut and Brad White of La Fayette, Indiana, and 16 cousins.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Claude White. Joey loved to go on walks and getting on the school bus. He was drawn to steering wheels, canes and walkers.

He had a contagious laugh and liked to snuggle. His favorite past time was eating and helping himself to unguarded food! We gratefully thank Bartonville Grade School staff and SEAPCO for their care and support.

His funeral will be Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Princeville Apostolic Christian Church. Ministers of the church will officiate. A visitation will be on Monday, July 9, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Haskell-Hott Funeral Homes in Princeville.

An additional visitation will be the morning of the service at the church from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Princeville Apostolic Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to SEAPCO (Special Education Association of Peoria County).
