Josephine E. Wohn, 105, of Genoa, passed away Wednesday evening, June 27, 2018, at the Genoa Retirement Village. Josephine was born April 22, 1913, in Genoa, Ohio, to Albert F. and Carrie (Powers) Camper. On December 24, 1935, in Genoa she married Curtis Bradstreet, who preceded her in death August 16, 1945.

Then on June 2, 1983, she married Nicholas A. Wohn, Jr. and he preceded her in death December 31, 1984. Jo graduated in 1930 from Genoa High School. She was a 1934 graduate of… Read More » Wittenberg University and taught school for 30 years: seven years at Graytown School for Benton-Carroll-Salem Schools; sixth grade for nine years and several years at the junior high, both for Genoa Area Schools.

She was a life member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Genoa; and also a member of the Coterie Club of Genoa, 20th Century Club of Genoa, and a life member of the National Education Association and the State of Ohio Education Association, as well as two area Bridge card clubs. Jo loved to read and enjoyed traveling, having traveled to Europe, Asia, Egypt and several other countries and an around-the-world trip in 1978. For many years she enjoyed her winters in Naples, Florida.

Jo enjoyed a full life and drove until she was 98. She is survived by her son, Richard “Dick” Bradstreet (Sara) of Cape Coral, Florida; nephews and nieces, Thomas P. David, Carol A. Camper (John Hartje), Janet S. Esser (James), Patricia J. Waldheger, Richard A. Camper (Heidi), James J. Camper (Jasna) and Dennis Dutcher (Sharon); great-great nephew, Brad D. Hanley; and close friends, Scott and Suzanne Norris and their children, Amy Kovach and Cari Barker. Jo was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, sister, Alice E. David, brothers, Richard and Dean Camper; great niece, Susan M. David-Hanley and great nephew, Ryan J. Waldheger.

Visitation for Josephine will be 2-8 p.m., Monday, July 2, 2018, at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2018, in the chapel at St. John’s United of Christ, Genoa, with interment to follow in Clay Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1213 Washington St., Genoa, OH 43430; or the Genoa Branch Public Library, 602 West St., Genoa, OH 43430.
