Kay Quisno, 79, of Port Clinton, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor. She was born on January 26, 1939 in Port Clinton to Norman and Odelle M. (Bordeaux) Morse. Kay graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1957 and earned her Nursing Degree from the Toledo Hospital School of Nursing in 1960.

On July 23, 1959 in Oak Harbor she married Jack A. Quisno, Sr., and after 57 years of marriage he preceded her in death on May 23, 2017. Kay worked as a registered… Read More » nurse for the Ottawa County Health Department for 27 years and the Franklin County Health Department, before retiring in 1999. She was one of the original founders of the former Ottawa County Hospice.

Kay was currently attending the Oak Harbor United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Church of the Saviour in Westerville, OH. Kay enjoyed gardening and making floral wreaths from the things she grew. She attended and conducted Bible Study classes.

Kay volunteered much of her time at church and at a pre-school in Columbus as well as with various community services. She treasured her time spent with her many friends in Oak Harbor, Westerville, Spokane, WA, and the Vineyards on Catawba Island. Kay is survived by her son, Jack A. Quisno, Jr. of Findlay, daughter, Kristen M. (Robert) Quisno-Witt of Oak Harbor, sisters, Janet Damschroder and Andrea (Donald) Lacumsky both of Oak Harbor, sister-in-law, Lois Held of Port Clinton, Goddaughters, Jane Held and Jessica Shown, her honorary grandson, Tristan Meyer, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Morse, Sr., mother, Odelle M. Winklea, infant brother, Norman Morse, Jr., husband, Jack A. Quisno, Sr., brothers-in-law, Donald Held and Roger Damschroder, niece, Monica Ernsberger, and nephews, Bill Damschroder and Kenneth Sayre. Visitation will be 12-3 p.m., Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor with memorial services to follow at 3:00 p.m. conducted by Pastor Rob Rakay at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Roose Cemetery, Oak Harbor at a later date.

Memorial contributions for Kay may be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Ohio Living Hospice, or the Oak Harbor United Methodist Church.
