Donald Joseph Clegg, age 82, of Metamora, Ohio passed away on July 24, 2018 at his residence. He was born March 6, 1936 in Toledo, Ohio. He was the son of Raymond and Margaret Clegg.

Don was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and attended the University of Toledo where he was on the wrestling team. Don worked as a telephone lineman for Ohio Bell before retiring. He spent 8 years in the Navy Reserves as a Seabee working construction.

Don is survived by his partner of over 25 years, Marianne Lulfs; children Wendy Gutowitz, Mark (Patricia) Clegg, Jeff Clegg, Brian (Sue) Clegg, Pam Clegg and Michael Clegg; step-children Betsy Lulfs, Dan (Carol) Lulfs and Dave (Lisa) Lulfs and Paul (Candi) Lulfs; and many grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Joan (Balcerzak) Clegg; parents Raymond and Margaret Clegg; and brothers Edward, William and Richard Clegg. Friends may visit the family at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) on Thursday, July 26 from 2-8 PM.

The funeral mass will be Friday, July 27 at 11 am in Gesu Church 2049 Parkside Blvd. , Toledo where visitation will be one hour prior. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials to Evergreen Community Library, 253 Maple St. Metamora, Ohio 43540.
