Obituary of Joseph Ostrom Joseph Ostrom Port Jervis, NY Joseph Ostrom of Port Jervis, NY, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 65. He was born January 14, 1953 in Port Jervis, NY the son of the late Wilbur and the late Katherine DeGroat Ostrom.

He worked as a Compounder for Kolmar Labs in Port Jervis, NY until his retirement. Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was always doing things for others with no expectation of something in return.

He loved hunting, fishing, cooking and the Dallas Cowboys. You could find him at his home away from home, the Tri State Naval Ship in Port Jervis, joking around, shooting pool or playing shuffleboard. He was also a social member of the VFW Post 161 and he was a Lifetime Member of Rescue 3 Fire Company in Port Jervis.

Joe will be greatly missed, but always remembered for the smile that he always wore”. Surviving are: His loving wife of 39 years Victoria Ostrom 3 Children: Alice Conklin Joseph A. Ostrom and his wife Mandy Jessica Cortez and her husband Wilfredo 8 Siblings: Lester Ostrom and his wife Sally Donald Ostrom and his wife Maureen Robert Ostrom and his companion Barbara Raymond Ostrom and his wife Shirley Katherine Roeder Twin sister, Joann Padgett and her husband Bob Leonard Ostrom Cheryl Ostrom and her fiancé Brian DeRose 6 Grandchildren: Zachary and Courtney Conklin, Marcus and Tyler Cortez, Jenna and Tanner Ostrom Also many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Ostrom; Sister, Elizabeth Ostrom and his brother-in-law, Joseph Roeder.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at 2pm at the Tri State Naval Ship, 46 Barcelow St., Port Jervis, NY 12771. Cremation was held at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford, PA. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Joe, to the Tri-States Naval Ship, VFW Post No.
