Joshua Murray, 44, of Torrington, CT, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Andrea (Millette) Murray. Josh was born June 27, 1974, in Waterbury, CT, the son of Joanne (Gelinas) Burgio.

He was a mason by trade, employed by Blakeslee Prestress Brick Layers, Local 1. Josh was a hard working family man, who had a dry sense of humor, and whose smile would light up any room that he was in. He was an avid NY Yankee fan, and NY Jets fan, and enjoyed listening to the classic music of the “Rat Pack”, especially, Frank Sinatra.

In addition to his wife Andrea, and his mother Joanne, he is survived by his daughter, Maya Murray who was the apple of his eye; one step daughter, Mindy Millette of Torrington; one brother, Thomas Murray of Torrington; one sister, Laurie Jaroneczyk of Naugatuck, CT; a niece Katie and a nephew Anthony Jaroneczyk, as well as many, many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington. Relatives and friends are asked to meet directly at St. Peter Church.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington. Condolences may be sent to Josh’s family by visiting www.
