Josie (Rogers) Buttrum, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at Columbia Healthcare. She was born August 23, 1934 to the late Rubin and Dessie (Bentley) Rogers. She worked at Aramark for 20 years before retiring.

She was a former member of the Owls Club. She enjoyed embroidery and spending time with family. Josie never met a stranger and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Josie is survived by her daughters, Peggy (Louis) Weber, Mary Elaine Warren; son, Stephen Ray Buttrum; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Buttrum Sr.; sons, George Buttrum Jr., Raymond Buttrum; daughter, Tracy Gregory. Visitation will be 1:00pm to 3:00pm Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Ziemer Central Funeral Home, 626 N. First Avenue, Evansville, Indiana 47710.

A funeral service will begin at 3:00pm Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital, 705 Riley Hospital Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana 46202.
