Delores “Dee” Daugherty, age 94, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019 at her home. She was born September 22, 1924 in Alexandria, SD. She married Winfred C. “Bud” Daugherty on February 19, 1949.

She was a long time active member of the Salvation Army in Evansville where she was affectionately referred to as “Aunt Dee”. She worked for Mead Johnson for years, then Dynamechs, where she retired. She loved to travel, knitting, crocheting, working puzzles, hockey, the Chicago Cubs and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hillar and LouElla Schumacher, her husband, “Bud”, her son, Michael, Grandaughter, Mary Frey, her great granddaughter, Kherington Ruhl. Dee is survived by her sons, William, David (Monica), Timothy “Tex” (Becky) Daugherty, Daughter, Margaret (the late Daniel) Holland, Daughter in law, Mary (Wright) Daugherty, Several grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation.

Private Graveside services will be held. A celebration of life for Dee will be held Sunday, June 2nd, 2019 at the Salvation Army Fulton Avenue Corps, 1040 N. Fulton Avenue at 4:00 PM Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with burial expenses.
