Mrs., Jacqueline Towe Smith, age 76 of Bowling Green, KY, formerly of Franklin, KY and Scottsville, KY. passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 10:47AM at the Massey Springs Assisted Living in Bowling Green, KY. Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Calvary Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY. Jacqueline was born in Allen County, KY on July 15, 1942 to late Jack and Marjorie Towe. She was the wife of the late Joe Thomas Smith.

She was preceded in death by a brother Tommy Towe and her sister in law Suzanne Towe. She is survived by her son, Greg Hardcastle (Teresa) of Bowling Green; her daughter, Lisa Adams (Thom) of Louisville, KY; brother, Dr. Richard Towe of Franklin, KY; sister in law, Barbara Towe of Scottsville; stepdaughter, Kim Gilbert (Kevin) of Franklin, KY; nine grandchildren, Heather Bushelman, Kristin and Andrew Hardcastle, Duncan and Sydney Adams, Brittanie McCoy, Alex Gilbert, Rachel and Chris McAskill, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jacqueline was a devoted Baptist and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She was an accomplished seamstress and homemaker but most known for her ability to always look beautiful. She was always kind and thoughtful to everyone.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, May 24, 2019 and from 6:00 AM until 8:00 AM Saturday at Gilbert Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday at the Calvary Baptist Church. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund or to the charity of ones choice.
