Caridad “Cachi” Morera, age 98, of Newburgh, IN, passed away at 1:27 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2019, peacefully at home. Cachi was born July 2, 1920, in Camaguay, Cuba, to Juan dé Posada and Maria Louisa Pardo. She worked as a Lab Tech while in Cuba.

After moving to the United States in 1963, she opened her own shop in Florida, Cachi’s Boutique. Cachi was a very creative designer, an excellent gourmet chef, and a painter who enjoyed painting landscapes and portraits. Cachi is survived by her daughter, Ana Morera; son, Dr. Julio A. Morera (Pilar); grandchildren, Julio Morera III, Andres Morera, Debbie Morera, and Mercedes Redman (Jesse); and great grandchild, Pablo Redman.

Cachi is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Julio E. Morera, who passed away in 1986; sisters, Juanita, Coco, Ana Maria, Blanquita, Nana, Chita, and Olga; and brothers, Louisito, Rosendito, Fedrico, and Juanito. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, and Burial will be Private. Arrangements are being handled by Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN.
