Joy C. Walls, 87, Vincennes, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Gentlecare Nursing Home. Joy was born December 15, 1930, in Vincennes, the daughter of Thomas G. And Mildred Dora (Unsworth) Palmer. She married Fred Walls on October 16, 1995.

She retired from Crestview Nursing Home after over 20 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and St. Ann’s Altar Society. Joy helped with communion for shut-in’s, cooked bereavement dinners and was a eucharistic minister.

Joy is survived by her children, Leroy E. (Donna) McGregor of Vincennes, Marvin A. (Lisa) McGregor of Vincennes and Irene (Lester) Anderson of Carlisle, IN; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and brother, Don (Debbie) Palmer of Vincennes. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Joseph A. McGregor; second husband, Fredrick W. Walls; and son, Gary Joe McGregor. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home, 313 Church St. with Pastor Jim Evans officiating.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until time of service also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice. Online condolences may be made at www.
