Ralph W. Yagle, 86, Dale, IN, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Ralph was born March 23, 1932, in Freelandville, the son of Fate and Elizabeth (Ellett) Yagle. He married Jackie Waggoner.

He retired from PSI after 40 years. He spent 52 years racing midget/sprint cars. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and racing homing pigeons.

Ralph was a member of the Bicknell United Methodist Church, the Bicknell French Club, the Pigeon Club, and the President of the Knox County Water Department. Ralph is survived by his wife, Jackie Yagle of Dale, IN; sons, Ralph W. Yagle Jr. of Vincennes and Allen (Sherry) Yagle of Speedway, IN; daughters, Wendy (Jeffrey) Scott of Tuson, AZ and Cendy (Jay) Joslin of Bicknell; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; sister, Liz Craft; and brothers, Larry O’Dell and Ronnie Crecelius. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tom Crecelius, Bill Howell, Russell Crecelius; and sisters, Phyllis Ward and Linda Wood.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday. August 2, 2018 at 7:00 PM with Pastor Steve Rundel officiating at the Bicknell United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 PM until time of service also at the church.

Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Bicknell Chapel assisted the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice. Online condolences may be made at www.
