Joyce’s Obituary Joyce A. Korner passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 67 years old. Born in Rahway, she was a lifelong resident of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township.

Mrs. Korner was employed as a department manager with K-Mart in Avenel for over 25 years until her retirement in 2010. She enjoyed Hallmark Christmas movies, playing word games on her tablet and spending time with her cat, Sprite. Mrs. Korner was predeceased by her parents, Philip Mai, Jr. and Nancy Newton Mai; and brother, Philip Mai III.

Surviving are her husband of 43 years, William Korner; daughters, Tammy Salgado of Avenel and Jennifer Revuelta of Fort Worth, TX; and beloved grandchildren, Joshua, Emma, Logan and Kaden. Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, January, 25, 2019 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. In lieu of flowers contributions to Holisticat Rescue, P.O. Box 821, Woodbridge, NJ 07095 in Joyce’s memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
