Obituary for Joyce Bailey (Hilton) Joyce Bailey, age 70, of Hickory, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 17, 2019, at Burke County Hospice. She was born March 3, 1948, daughter of the late Frank Aaron and Helen Crump Hilton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Andrew Bailey Sr.; one son, Dennis “Scooter” Bailey; one granddaughter, Melanie Nicole Bailey.
Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Lisa Stansel of Mt. View, Tonda Lovelace (Michael) of Granite Falls, Robin Frissell (Jim) of Burlington; one son, Thomas Bailey (Nancy) of Granite Falls; one brother Frankie “Buddy” Hilton (Kayla) of Mt. View; one sister, Barbara Hilton Velez (Juan) of Florida; eleven grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 20, 2019, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Mackie Funeral Home with the service following in the chapel at 3:00 PM. Rev. Roger Porch, Apostle Bishop, Wade Danner and Rev.
David Crump will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. View Cemetery, Rutherford College.
