Obituary for Joyce C Grubbs Print Joyce C. Grubbs was born November 6, 1932, in Temple, OK, to the late Arthur David and Eula Estelle (Coker) Courtright. She departed from this life January 26, 2019, at the age of 86, while living in Winnsboro, TX. She married Douglas W. Grubbs and moved to Manvel, TX where she served as the Secretary of the Manvel Trail Ride Club for many years.
She enjoyed riding horses, hunting, and traveling. She and her husband moved to the Winnsboro area in the early 90’s. She was a member of Pine Street Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Douglas Wayne Grubbs; son, Ricky Wayne Grubbs; brothers, David and Louie Courtright; and sisters, Lucille Mason and Ruby Glenn. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Barnett and husband, Marc of Winnsboro; grandchildren, Christen Robinson, Lacie Monday and Blake Barnett; and great-grandchildren, Kale, Macie, Huxton, Kamber and Hollis. A Graveside Service will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Harmony Cemetery, with Rev.
