Obituary for Thad Montgomery Spence Mr. Thad Montgomery Spence, 51, of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 in Tyler, Texas. Thad was born in Irving, Texas to Richard Wayne Spence and Joyce Smith on November 14, 1967. Thad joined the Army in 1987 and served until 1991.

He worked as a former Police Officer for the Cedar Hill Police Department. Thad is survived by his mother, Joyce Moore and her husband, John of Holly Lake Ranch; brothers, Tony Spence of Dallas, Jon Moore and his wife, Sandy of Fate and Luie Moore of Lewisville; a host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends. Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm, Friday, January 11, 2018 at Beaty Funeral Home, 5320 S St. Hwy 37, Mineola, Texas 75773.
