Obituary of Joyce Fortino Joyce A. Fortino July 24, 1933-October 6, 2018 Fort Montgomery, NY Joyce A. Fortino passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, NY. She was 85 years old. Daughter of the late Harry A. and Miriam D. Greene Newell, she was born July 24, 1933 in Cornwall, NY.

Joyce worked more than 38 years for Federal Civil Service. She began her career in the Army Football office, moved to California in 1986 where she was the Contracting Officer on the Stealth Bomber. She returned to Army sports in 2000 from where she retired in 2013.

Survivors include her three sons: Mark Fortino of Fort Montgomery, NY, Dana Fortino and his wife Susan of Highland Falls, NY, Scot Fortino of Covina, CA; her grandchildren: Jennifer, Amber, Andrew, Alyssa, Ariana, Erika, Robert and her great grandchildren: Adrian, Isabella, Jovanni, Noah and Eduardo. Joyce was predeceased by her son Paul A. Fortino, her brother Bruce Newell, and her former husband Paul J. Fortino. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY.

There will be no public funeral services.
