Joyce DeArmond Keen, 71, of Bowling Green, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. Joyce was born in Greenville, KY on October 23, 1947 to the late William Ernest and Bertha Stanley Newman. She was preceded in death by her first husband Norman Allen DeArmond, three brothers James, Ray and Steven Newman.

Joyce was a member of the Woodburn Church of Christ. She was a loving mother and enjoyed spending time with her family. Joyce loved cooking and working in the yard.

She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She is survived by her husband Lawrence Keen, daughter Tammy Shutt (Phillip) of Beechmont, KY, three sons Tracy DeArmond of Central City, Terry DeArmond of Bowling Green and Tom DeArmond (Laurie) of Maryland, three sisters Billie LeGear of Florida, Connie Holland of Beechmont, Cookie Moore (John) of White Plains, her brother Roger Newman of Canada, three grandsons Lucas and Jacob Shutt of Beechmont and Trey DeArmond of Central City. A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Woodburn Church of Christ. Arrangements have been entrusted to J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
