Martha Jane (Janie) Baker Brewer, 79, of Bowling Green entered into rest Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Hickory Hill Alzheimer’s Center in Hendersonville, TN. Janie was a native of Opp, Al born January 26, 1940. She was preceded in death by her parents Wesley and Marie Baker.

Janie retired in 1990 from the Warren County Circuit Clerk’s Office as a Deputy Clerk. She was an active member at Living Hope Baptist Church and of the church choir. Janie was a 1957 graduate of Opp High School, attended Troy State College from 1957 until 1959, and attended Samford University in Homewood, AL.

She and her husband loved to travel and show dogs at AKC shows. Survivors include her husband of 59 years Robert H. Brewer, son David Robert Brewer (Melanie Smith Brewer) of Maggie Valley, NC, daughter Angelyn Brewer Drexler (Glenn) of Bowling Green and sister Bobbie Waggner (John) New Berry, SC. Four wonderful grandchildren Austin and Aaron Drexler, Katie Mick and Emily Bartenbach and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Saturday, February 23, 2019, 12:00 pm at J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Visitation will be Saturday 10:00 am until time of services. Family chose cremation.
