Dixie Ann Herrington, 79, of Bowling Green entered into rest Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dixie was born in Riverside, KY on October 20, 1939. She was preceded in death by her husbands Boyce White and Darrel Herrington, her parents Karl and Hettye Young, brother Jason Young and his wife JoAnn and sister-in-law Connie Young.

Dixie was a retired cafeteria cashier at Plano Elementary and worked at Tru Temper in Bowling Green. She was a member of Riverside Christian Church and attended Mars Hill Church of Christ. Dixie loved her pet Yorkie “Lilly” and was an avid U.K. Basketball fan.

Survivors include her son John Allen White (Suzanne) of Smiths Grove and a daughter Lee Ann White (Mike Anderson) of Bowling Green. Also, a sister Mavis Allred of Indianapolis, IN and a brother Weldon Young of Bowling Green. Five wonderful grandchildren Melissa White, Lindsey Miller (Stephen), Taylor Alder (Brett), Mason White (McKenzi) and Logan Childress.

Five precious great-grandchildren, Sydney Alder, S. J. Miller, Garrett Alder, Ben Miller and Shelby Alder. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be Sunday, March 17, 2019, 2:00 pm at J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel.

Visitation will be Saturday, 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Sunday 10:00 am until time of services. Burial will be in Riverside Christian Church Cemetery. Expressions of Sympathy may be made to Riverside Christian Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Jane Rone and envelopes will be provided by the funeral home.
