Obituary of Joyce Prola Joyce L. Prola, 69, of Blairsville, passed away Sunday October 28, 2018 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. She was born November 29, 1948 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Clifford and Hettie (Dunlop) Smith. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a medical receptionist at Derry Medical Associates.

Joyce enjoyed shopping and stormy weather. Halloween time was one of her favorite times of the year, as she always enjoyed a good horror movie. She loved teaching dance and visiting the ocean.

Joyce treasured spending time with her grandsons who she loved so much. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by an infant brother, Barry Wayne Smith. She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Joseph S. Prola; her daughter, Monica G. Eskenasy and her husband Antonio of Pittsburgh; two grandsons, Ian and Ryan Eskenasy; her beloved dog, Ellie; three brothers, Donald A. Smith (Audrie) of Greensburg, Larry L. Smith (Carol) of Derry, and Richard C. Smith (Linda) of Loyalhanna; two sisters, Nancy J. Busato (Kenneth) of Jeanette, and Vicki L. Havrilla of Derry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honoring Joyce’s wishes, services and interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross – Disaster Relief Fund at www. redcross.org.
