Obituary for Juan Castro Juan Jose Castro, age 85 of Trumbull, CT. , entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Maefair Health Care Center, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. Juan was born September 11, 1932, in Loiza, Puerto Rico, the beloved son of the late Jose Ramon Castro & Beneranda Castro Santiago.
In addition to his parents, Juan was predeceased by three sisters; Elsa Castro, Juana L. Castro, and Margarita Castro. Juan was a kind and loving brother and friend. He took pride in supporting his family by attending their baseball games.
He enjoyed gardening and was known well for his “green thumb”. Juan could frequently be found going on long walks throughout Bridgeport. He led a wholesome life, loved going to church, and worked as a landscaper since an early age.
Juan will be missed deeply by all who had the honor of knowing him. Juan is survived by seven siblings; Luis Castro of Puerto Rico, Lydia Castro of Delaware, Felipe Castro of Florida, Elias Castro of Ansonia, Carmen Castro of North Carolina, Norma Castro of Bridgeport, and Noelia Castro of Florida; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews as well as great grand nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish Juan’s memory. A Memorial Service honoring Juan’s life will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 1pm-2pm at Community Funeral Chapels, 798 Park Ave.
