Juan’s Obituary Juan Manuel Vasquez, Sr. December 23, 1940 – January 10, 2019 Mr. Juan Manuel Vasquez, Sr., 78, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Thursday, January 10, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Maria de Jesus Vasquez; and his sister Estella Mendoza. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Maria Amelia Vasquez, Maria De Jesus Vasquez, Juan Manuel (Lucy) Vasquez, Jr., Ana Laura Vasquez; 19 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; sisters, Rosa (Ricardo) Alva, and Alicia (Samuel) Paez.

He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends. The family will be receiving condolences on Monday evening, January 14, 2019 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday morning, January 15, 2019 departing at 8:40 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Juan Manuel Vasquez, Jr., Maria Amelia Vasquez, Ana Laura Vasquez, Maria De Jesus Vasquez, Eduardo Castillo, Jr., Benito Garza III, Ashley N. Martinez, Ilian J. Vasquez, and Shonte Castillo.
