Obituary for Mrs. Juanita Register McDowell Juanita Alberta Register McDowell, 93, of Asheboro, died Saturday, December 29, 2018, at her home. Funeral servcies will be conducted at 2:00 p.m.. Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at Faith Alliance Church, 2437 Old Farmer Road, Asheboro, with Rev.

Frankie Hall and Rev. Bobby Marsh officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Born in Deepwater, NJ, on February 18, 1925, Mrs. McDowell was the daughter of the late Joseph Harold Register and Myrtle Green Register. She was retired from Burlington Industries and a member of Faith Alliance Church. She enjoyed playing bingo and loved her family and puppies.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. McDowell was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas James McDowell, daughter, Patricia Diane McDowell Yates; and sister, Hilda Green Register Draughn. Surviving are her son, Jerry Thomas McDowell and wife, Kim, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Krista Yates Maness and husband, Barry, Lisa Yates Vaughn and husband, Stephen, Todd Farrell Yates; great grandchildren, Blair Maness, Damon Maness, Corey Vaughn, Connor Vaughn; great-great grandson, Weston Maness; nephew, Jimmy Draughn and wife, Cindy; nieces, Wanda Draughn Simpson and husband, Marion, Donna Draughn Davis and husband, Tim; and several great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 31, 2018 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
