Obituary for Juanita Ruth Lindsay GRANBURY – It is with great sadness that the family of Juanita “Ruth” Lindsay announces her passing on Monday, September 4, 2018, at the age of 89, in Granbury. Ruth was born August 23, 1929, in Fort Worth, to Earl and Inez Cummings. She will be lovingly remembered as a wife of 67 years to her husband, Roy E. “Lanky” (who preceded her in death) as well as by her children, Gary, Debbie, Robbie and her foster son, Rick Griffin.

She was incredibly proud of her children, 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Ruth and her husband shared several business ventures starting in 1952, when they started Stripe-A-Zone, the first parking lot striping company in North Texas, and later, Lindsay Pilot Car, where they escorted oversized truck loads across the country. After their retirement in 1980, they traveled extensively throughout the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Ruth was also an avid bowler throughout her life where she made many lifelong friends. She also loved to play bridge and shared many close friendships there as well. Survivors: Brother, Earl Cummings and his wife, Robbie of Fort Worth; son, Gary Lindsay, of Weatherford; daughter, Debbie Callas of Fort Worth; daughter, Robbie Dunn and her husband, Dan of Fort Worth; and her foster son, Rick Griffin and his wife, Debbie of Grand Saline; her 11 grandchildren; and her 10 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
