BRAINTREE, WEYMOUTH Judith Snyder, passed away at the age of 78, on September 10, 2018. Passed away after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Norman Goodwin and Elsabee (Sturrock)(Goodwin) Piro and Antonio Piro.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert N. Snyder. Judy was born in Quincy and raised in Braintree, graduate of Braintree High Class of 1958. She married her high school sweetheart Bob and together they raised their 4 children in Braintree, and had 55 wonderful years together.

She was still working as a part time secretary at the time of her death. Judy was the loving mother of Pamela Thomas and her husband Floyd of Avon, Robert Snyder of Framingham, Patricia Burke and husband Joseph of Hanson and Richard Snyder and wife Patricia of Abington. The loving and proud Nana of Matthew Thomas (Sara Lansing) of Kingston, Stephanie Kelsey (Jeffrey Kelsey) of Holbrook, Ashley O’Dell (Andrew O’Dell) of Whitman, Victoria and Zachary Burke of Hanson and Jake Snyder of Abington.

Great Grandmother (Big Nan) of Matthew and Nicole Thomas and Natalie and Brooke O’Dell. Judy is also survived by her devoted sister Carole Monet of Rockland and loving brother Bruce Goodwin (Linda) of Kingston, sisters’ in law Marylou Sandry of Hingham and Lorraine Kordis of Braintree. Judy was predeceased by her sisters Irene Carlson of Braintree and Anita Toppin of Rutland, VT.

She also leaves behind many devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends and neighbors. A graveside service will be conducted by the Russell Peck – Mortimer N Peck Funeral Chapels, Inc., on September 29th, 2018, at 11:00 AM at the Blue Hill Cemetery 700 West Street, Braintree, MA. Donations in Judy’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St , Framingham, MA 01701.
