Judith Faye Pittman Hillman 2/14/44 – 7/17/18 Judith Faye Pittman Hillman was born on February 14, 1944 to Hubert and Essie Pittman in Pitkin, LA. She passed from this life into her eternal life on July 17, 2018 in Des Moines, Iowa. Judy was born in Pitkin, LA where she attended school and lived until 1962, when she was swept off her feet by her prince charming, James Howard Hillman.

She spent her last couple of months residing close to her oldest daughter and family in Algona, IA due to her failing health. Judy absolutely loved people and loved helping people.

She always looked for the positive in everyone. She loved her church and church family at Walnut Hill. She loved her family and was very proud of each one of them.

She will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is preceded in death by her parents Hubert and Essie Pittman, her oldest brother Kenneth Pittman, and her husband James Howard Hillman. She leaves behind three daughters, Terri Hillman Tweedy (and fiancé Jim Taylor), Lisa Hillman Thiesen (and husband Gator), Dawn Hillman Subasic (and husband Numan), one son, Todd Hillman (and wife Wendy); grand kids, Cody Hillman, Casey Tweedy, Michael Tweedy, Brett Thiesen, Shanda Tweedy, Carlie Marze, Tanner Hillman, and Trent Thiesen, great grandchildren, Kael Mallory, Maci Mallory, Austin Mallory, and Drake Mallory; as well as honorary grandchild William Bard.

She is also survived by sisters Anita Gagneaux, Glenda O’Neal, and Barbara Steinkamp, brother Frank Pittman (and wife Lita), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held in honor of Judy at Walnut Hill UPC at 5:00 pm on July 28, 2018. She personally requested cremation, and her ashes will be placed beside her lifelong love at Pine Grove Cemetery in Mora, LA.
